Build a career you're proud of.

We're a Waco-grown painting company on a mission to do this work the right way — building a place where employees and painting partners alike do work that matters, get paid what they're worth, and grow as far as they want to go.

Yellow Rose was built here, by people who live here.

I'm a Waco local. Born here, raised here, and now raising my own family here with my wife Makayla and our daughter Margot — and come June 2026, our second daughter Estie. This town has shaped everything about me, and Yellow Rose is my way of giving back to it.

I started Yellow Rose in 2021 with my friend Mason, who'd built Spray Tex Painting up in DFW. We saw the same gap in Central Texas — homeowners and businesses who deserved a painting company that actually listened, kept its word, and cared about doing right by both customers and the people on the crew.

Five years later, we have a team I'm genuinely proud of. If you want to build a career somewhere people know your name, where your work is respected, and where there's real room to grow — I'd love to meet you.

A note to our painting partners

Independent contractors are not eligible for the W-2 benefits above. What you can expect from us instead: a steady flow of quality work, fair and transparent pay delivered on time, professional support and coaching, and a long-term partnership built on respect. We treat our painting partners as family — because that's exactly what you are to us.

Five values we live by — every day, on every job.

These aren't posters on a wall. They're how we hire, how we lead, and how we hold ourselves accountable to each other and to the people we serve.

I

Integrity

Honoring your word

Our commitments matter. If we say we'll do something, you can count on it. And when something goes wrong, we're the first to let you know, make it right, and learn from it.

II

Authenticity

Being courageous enough to be yourself

We keep it real. Genuine connections, honest feedback, no pretending. We stay true to who we are while welcoming growth and challenge.

III

Appreciation

Acknowledging the great in your life

We're grateful for our team, our partners, our customers, and the chance to do this work. Gratitude fuels how we show up.

IV

Growth Mindset

A thirst for growth and learning

Challenges are opportunities. Feedback moves us forward. We balance the drive to improve with respect for what's already working — at a pace that fits each person.

V

Listening

Holding space for others (by holding space for yourself)

We listen to uncover what people truly need. Feeling understood matters more than being right. That's how true partnerships are built.

Grow as far as you want to go

We invest in our people. Here's what a long-term path at Yellow Rose can look like.

STEP 01

Start

Office support, color consultant, or sales advisor. Learn the craft, the customer, and our standards.

STEP 02

Build

Sales advisor or field supervisor. Own projects, build customer relationships, and start mentoring others.

STEP 03

Lead

Project manager or senior sales advisor. Run your part of the business and develop the next generation.

STEP 04

Partner

Department lead or future ownership opportunity. Help shape what Yellow Rose becomes.

This isn't a fixed track. We meet people where they are and build a growth plan around their unique gifts. Want to dive deep into one role for years? Great. Want to keep moving? We'll back that too.

Who thrives at Yellow Rose

This isn't the right place for everyone — and that's the point. Here's who fits.

  • ✓You take pride in your craft and won't put your name on sloppy work.
  • ✓You'd rather hear the truth than what you want to hear.
  • ✓You want to grow — in skill, in income, in who you are.
  • ✓You believe how you show up matters as much as what you produce.
  • ✓You listen well and care about the people you serve.
  • ✓You want to be part of building something — not just clocking time.
"What we promise is to be there for you every step of the way — to listen, to care, and to do our absolute best to make this experience wonderful."
— The Yellow Rose Promise

Common questions

Quick answers to what most people ask before applying.

Career roles (sales advisors, field supervisors, project managers, office, color consultants) are full-time W-2 employee positions with benefits, paid time off, and a clear path for promotion. Painting partnerships are 1099 independent contractor relationships for skilled painters and established crews — you keep your independence and run your own work, while we provide a steady flow of quality projects and a long-term, respect-based relationship.
For painting partnerships and field supervisor roles, yes — we look for established skill and a track record of quality work. For other career roles, experience requirements vary by position; some entry-level positions (like office support) welcome people new to the industry.
Sí — we absolutely welcome Spanish-speaking team members and painting partners. Apply just as you would in English, and we'll make sure you're taken care of.
We serve a roughly 75-mile radius along the I-35 corridor — including Waco, Temple, Belton, Hewitt, Woodway, China Spring, Killeen, Copperas Cove, Hillsboro, Mexia, Clifton, and surrounding communities. Our office is in downtown Waco at 125 N 7th St.
For the right person, quickly. Once you've completed our conversation and working interview, we can typically make an offer within a week — and your start date is flexible from there based on your situation.
Most painting work runs Monday through Saturday, with the bulk of jobs scheduled on weekdays. Exact expectations vary by role, and we'll walk through the schedule with you during your interview.
